James Latimer has a background in European Literature, having earned his bachelor's at Royal Holloway, University of London. After experience as a photographer in London, James moved to Japan becoming an internationally acclaimed Director and Cinematographer for films and commercials. 

Fluent in both English and Japanese, he started the Jemleykenato creative team; a platform that works to bring Japan and the West closer together, connecting Japan's unique culture through the universal visual medium.

Based in Shibuya, Tokyo and with our unique position producing content both high quality and culturally aware, Jemleykenato aims to support domestic and international productions while continuing to develop content that crosses borders.
